Hi, so we are finally done with our project (minus the bathroom… hopefully we can schedule that in January with you guys). I just want to tell you how impressed I am with your company and your entire team.  I have dealt with different contractors over the last 15 years, commercial and residential, and I have never had the type of overall positive experience that I had with your company.  No one even comes close to you guys.

You guys have stuck to the schedule all the time, no delays, and you guys handled the few issues that have come up flawlessly.  Denny, the project manager, is the man!

I am not one to give reviews, but I feel compelled to just let you know how happy we are with the outcome.  I will be referring you to anyone looking to do any work.

I hope this letter finds you and the entire shells Only organization doing well and enjoying these last days of summer.  This is a follow-up to our prior correspondence of May 15, 2018, where we made you aware of certain structural issues and defects that had arisen since our project close of February 2016 notable cracking tiles in two bathrooms and splitting rafters in the attic.

 

We would like to thank you, Denny and the rest of Shells Only team for addressing and correcting these issues.  Once again, your team displayed professionalism and a commitment to our project that proves we made the correct initial decision to select Shells Only over other well-qualified contracting firms.

 

We would be remiss if we did not specifically single out the efforts of Denny and his team of Keith and Dan.  Regardless of his moving over to the sales side of your team, Denny was focused on seeing these issues corrected and placed his "A-Team" on the job.  As for Keith and Dan, all we can say is they hustled unlike anyone else we had work on the project prior.  Keith made sure everything was addressed in the correct manner.

We used Shells Only for a second story addition. We couldn't be more pleased with the people we dealt with and the quality workmanship. Our project moved long as expected & wasn't a penny over budget.  It was a pleasure dealing with Ken W., Julie, & Felix. Our project manager Ryan was patient & professional every step of the way. We will be back when it's time for a new kitchen!

I want to start this review by saying I used these guys back in 2014 after doing much research and having several quotes to add a 14'x26' addition to the back of my home.  

Initially, I was very nervous as I had never as a homeowner taken on any type of construction project.  My initial consultation was very informative and I was able to meet with the owner Dennis which gave me more confidence to proceed as their quote was significantly more palatable then Allure, Great Additions etc.  

 

So to make a long story short they held my hand and walked me through the whole process.  Results were excellent.  Exactly as described. FYI 2 years later I had an issue with my tile in my bathroom.  A quick call and they came in and fixed the discolored tile by replacing them.  

 

So here we are in 2018 my two sons don't get along so I am on the hook to make my one story addition into a 2 story addition. Stopped by their showroom in Babylon off Sunrise Highway looking for Denny who was my job foreman on the previous job. Instead, I bumped into Angelo a very competent contemporary.   I explained my needs and he was quick to help me design my upstairs extension.  

 

The beauty of this company is they handle the whole process from idea to completion (including architect). Luckily I was able to have Denny as my job foreman again.  (I requested him).  He was the consummate professional and over the whole process, he became a family friend.  

 

So my 2 sons are not fighting anymore and my wife is less stressed.  Life is good.  Bottom line these guys are the real deal.  

 

P.S,  I have to give a shout out to my finishing carpenter Jason he has to be the best craftsman I have ever met.  He is the wood whisperer!          Robert L. - Baldwin, NY

My husband and I were very pleased with the construction of our home. Shells Only worked in a timely manner. It took two months to build a beautiful second floor with 3 large bedrooms, a full bath with a laundry room, and a huge master bedroom closet.

 

The siding and the outside of my home are beautiful.

The easiest renovation ever! Shells Only is the easiest contractor I have ever dealt with. They were hired to renovate two bathrooms, replace windows and doors, install new siding, a new driveway, patio and walkway. Our construction project was a partial addition of a second floor and our first major construction. My wife and I were completely satisfied with the experience. Having major construction in your home can be a very nerve-racking experience. However, the people at Shells Only alleviated any of these concerns.

 

First, the construction was completed on budget by both time and dollars. With Shells Only, the budget you agree to at the start of the of the job is the one they stick to. Second, when working with Shells Only, you're dealing with a one-stop shop company that is responsible for all phases of the construction. They don't use subcontractors for plumbing or electric or roofing. Everyone you deal with is representing Shells Only. This provided us with peace of mind that we weren't going to need to find a separate architect, electrician or other tradesmen to complete their phase of the project. In addition, we didn't have to worry that if something went wrong, the finger would get pointed from the architect to the contractor, to the subcontractor.

 

Finally, the craftsmanship was top notch. The construction was completed exactly as we had agreed on. From Al in design to the supervisors to the framing and carpenters crew, to the sheetrock and insulation crew, plumbing, heating, electric, siding, and the office staff, everyone was a pleasure to deal with and a true professional. They don't leave the job until you're satisfied and they stand by their work. We highly recommend Shells Only to anyone who is considering a home improvement project.
